The Donate Life club is back in business and making huge changes. Senior Zach Roth, who is in charge of the club, has added many members in the past year. Hardworking students join the club to spread the word about the importance of organ donation. As the year progresses, the club has many interesting ideas in which to raise money. To open 2018, the club will be selling club t-shirts to raise awareness as well.

“We also will be holding a volleyball tournament for the students to raise money,” club member Noah Quick said. “We want as many people to come out support the cause and have a great time.”

If you did not get the chance to buy a t-shirt this week, you can reach out to any club members and something can be arranged. The club is very important to each and every member. Meetings are usually held every other Thursday to explain upcoming events and activities the group will do.

During the holidays, the members collected money and gift cards. They created cards for young, sick children. They wished them all a happy holidays and gave them gift cards.

“Knowing that those young ill children got a surprise during their holidays makes everything all worth it,” sophomore Josh Quick said.

Roth says the volleyball tournament information will be forthcoming, with tentative plans to stage the event in late winter or early spring. If anyone wants to help out with the club contact Zach Roth at [email protected].

“I’m very excited about the upcoming events we have planned,” Roth said. “Everyone is welcome to the club and the more the merrier.”
