The best summer destinations

School is coming to an end, and if you do not have a vacation planned this summer, I recommend getting on your computer and starting your research. Whether the weather is hot or cold, humid or dry, in the deserts or in the mountains, everyone deserves a stress-free getaway.

Being in school for 10 months can be physically and mentally draining.  The repetitive routine of waking up, going to school, then work, then homework can create an undeniable urge to see something new, and break out of this monotonous lifestyle. That does not mean that you have to travel across the world; America is the home of various beautiful vacation spots.

There is no better place to vacation in America than the sun sweltering islands of Florida. Some of the most popular are Key West, Sanibel, and Marco. The white sand is soft like powder, and the water is crystal clear, making the tourists feel as if they are in the Caribbean. There is a wide array of animals across the series of islands. Some of these animals include the key deer, the armadillo, the white tailed deer, and the gopher tortoise. Regardless of age, there is something to do for everyone on these exquisite beaches.

If this country’s beaches do not appeal to you, the Grand Canyon is an amazing place to let loose and learn a few things along the way. Around 20 million years ago, the Colorado river eroded the land, creating an almost 300 mile landmark. The canyon is 4,000 feet deep, and at the bottom, the Colorado River is still flourishing. With over 70 species living within its walls, the Grand Canyon is one of the many wonders of the world. People are able to hike, camp, kayak, ride mules, and participate in many more festivities.

Another amazing spot in America is the beautiful yet grungy New York City. There is something to do at anytime in the city that never sleeps. There are Broadway shows starring some of the world’s greatest stars, business moguls roaming the streets, and various historical landmarks to explore; the excursions are endless in NYC.

Lastly, California is another vacation spot that is highly recommended. Between the hot weather, beautiful nature, and interesting film location, Cali is unlike any other state. Many people visit California for the A list celebrities, the state being home to Angelina Jolie, Tyra Banks, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kylie Jenner and other well known stars. If you ever visit the beautiful golden state, you are almost guaranteed to see a celebrity roaming the streets, enjoying the remarkable scenery.
