Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey review

Many people have grown up watching movies featuring the well known hero Batman, who fought in many intense battles against his long time foe, The Joker. Although many viewers know who the Joker is, some people are not aware of his girlfriend, Harley Quinn.

Director, Cathy Yan, had a budget of 97.1 million dollars to produce the perfect movie about Harley Quinn and her crazy adventures during her lifetime. The movie was released into theaters on February 7, 2020. Although it is about a villain who was originally directed towards the younger generations, it is rated R and contains inappropriate words and actions not meant for children to see.

Many viewers believed it could of avoided being rated R so more of an audience would be allow to view it. Many curse words, sexual scenes and also the lots of drugs within the plot could have been written out or the story, and the film would still have left the same impact on its audience. By attracting a larger audience, they could have raised their sales and increased their profits.

The movie begins with the separation of Harley Quinn and the Joker’s love relationship which leaves Harley Quinn in a bit of a pickle. When the two were together, no one messed with Harley Quinn because of her superior boyfriend, the Joker. So now all the people that had problems with Harley Quinn are after her to get their revenge. The paramount antagonist of this film is a new man in town who basically runs the show. The man goes by the name of Roman Sionis, also known as Black Mask. The man kidnaps Harley Quinn and before he is about to injure her, she proposes an idea that will be more than difficult.

Writer and movie reviewer Erik Kain from Forbes industry wrote his opinions on the new movie. “It has a smart script, terrific performances and plenty of fun action,” Kain said, “It’s a very fun movie with lots of laughs and some almost cartoony fight scenes that are a lot of fun.”
