December 15th, 2011 was a very special day for the comedy family. It was the day the Impractical Jokers were born. The show has been on the air for years making the viewers laugh multiple times during each episode. The show is a hidden-camera series that follows four lifelong friends — Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano — who take dares to an outrageous level. Since they were young, the friends have challenged one another to do ridiculous dares in public.

Maintaining their popularity through the years, the four were able to star in a new movie about how they came to be known as the Impractical Jokers. Impractical Jokers: The Movie was released to theaters on February 21, 2020 and was presented only in a few places selected. The ratings were outstanding with receiving 94% of viewers who enjoyed the movie.

A movie review writer, Jessica Fisher, talked about her experience after the movie. “I don’t want to give anything away, because these were some of the best pranks the guys have ever done,” Fisher said. “The element of surprise was much of the fun. The road setting was perfect, because you never really knew what to expect.”

The movie starts off right away cracking jokes and making all the viewers laugh. Although the movie is filled with dares similar to the TV show, the movie mixes in a unique twist into the plot by bringing their past and present together. There is also an appearance by the singer, Paula Abdul, who is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer, actress, and television personality. The four Jokers have a negative interaction with the American Singer in their early life and they cross paths once again later in life where they are faced with a ticket to redeem themselves, or three tickets, anyway, and they set off on a road trip to see which three will get to relive that fateful night and which Joker will become the ultimate loser.

Junior from Hillsborough high school, Kabir Singh, has been watching the show since the very first episode was released. Singh decided to go with two of his friends to see the movie the second night it came out and shared his views on the film. “The Impractical Jokers Movie was by far the funniest movie in the last 5 years,” Singh said. “It was the first time I was in a movie theater where it wasn’t silent one second with everyone laughing the whole night”.
