The Jersey 4 Jersey benefit for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund aired on Wednesday (April 22), with a star-studded assortment of some of the Garden State’s biggest talent. The benefit also showcased essential workers and their efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

The one-night fundraiser was set on taking on the medical, social and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on some of Jersey’s most vulnerable communities and featured home appearances and performances from Halsey, Jon Bon Jovi, Charlie Puth, Saquon Barkley, SZA, Tony Bennett, Danny DeVito, Whoopi Goldberg, Chelsea Handler, Kelly Ripa, Jon Stewart and more.

Bruce Springsteen and wife singer-songwriter Patti Scialfa kicked the event off with a heartfelt performance of “Land of Hope and Dreams”. The lyrics feature the uplifting messages of support Jersey needs right now, as the duo sang, “I will provide for you / And I’ll stand by your side / You’ll need a good companion / For this part of the ride.”

The program was overall uplifting and instilled a sense of hope for viewers. Each guest was able to spread their message of support and unity for New Jersey as well as entertain viewers with their musical talents or commentary. It is significant that we all remain hopeful during this pandemic. Although quarantine may be rough and boredom may get the best of us, it is crucial to consider the good staying inside is doing as it halts the spread of the coronavirus.

The New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund is still open for donations, so if you or anyone you know would like to support the cause it is still available.
