Released on April 15, 2020, Outer Banks hit Netflix by storm during a very convenient time.  With everyone stuck at home, Outer Banks fills a lot of time for bored binge watchers all across the world.

Taking place in Outer Banks, North Carolina, four best friends who are called “Pogues” are on a treasure hunt in search of $400 million worth of gold.

The main character, John. B, is in search of the gold for not only the value, but to get answers on his father who went missing in search of the same gold nine months prior. His father had spent around 20 years in search of the gold, and John. B is convinced he will finish it.

Chased by the law and a wealthy, privileged group called the “Kooks” from Figure Eight, the four Pogues overcome many obstacles such as love, money, fighting, and the wealthy people who try and complete John. B’s father’s goal.

With memorable characters, such as J.J., Kiara, Pope, and world-wide heart throb Sarah Cameron, the show will easily make you fall in love with cast.  The up and down character development and relationships built and broken throughout the series is an absolute roller coaster.

The show was flawless, keeping you on the edge of your seat at all times, clicking next episode regardless of how late or early in the morning it is.  Netflix and Director, Lee Nettles, really hit the mark on this one, setting up for multiple seasons to come.

“I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen, I was able to finish the entire series in a few days.  I loved it,” sophomore Aastha Patel said.

There is something for everyone in Outer Banks and anybody of all ages should sit down and watch this show because it is an absolute masterpiece.
