HHS Principal Jeffrey DiLollo notified Staff and Students to avoid using the sinks and water fountains around HHS as a precaution since the HHS administration received reports of the water main breaking.
“We have received some information regarding a water main break in town that may be causing water quality issues. We are actively inquiring for more details and related direction from the town. At this time, please, in an abundance of caution, do not use sinks or fountains for consumption. The bottle filling stations do have built in filtration, but you should use your best judgement,” said DiLollo in an email to Staff early yesterday afternoon.
DiLollo amended his announcement during Period 10, instructing staff and students not to drink the water. Bottled water was available for anyone who needed it.
The administration is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide updates to Staff, Students, and the HHS community as more information becomes available.
