“Ladies and Gentlemen. Say Hello to Adele,” Jimmy Fallon said when introducing the millennial legend on her very own special, Adele Live in New York City which aired Dec. 14 on NBC. Adele returned to her rightful place on the Radio City stage after a four year hiatus with a performance that captivated audiences.

The songstress started off by singing her hit single, “Hello”. When she sang the first signature line, “Hello, how are you?”, one couldn’t help but think all was right in the world with Adele back on stage. With seamless vocals and her charismatic personality, Adele dominated the stage making it impossible to take your eyes off her for one second.

Along with her No.1 single, Adele performed a string of her greatest hits that spanned her last two albums as well as a rendition of the James Bond inspired track from the movie of the same name, “Skyfall”. She created a flashback for us when she sang “Set Fire to the Rain” which just again reminded us why we were all so addicted to her music when she released 21 back in 2011.

Not only were her vocals top notch, but her witty humor and interaction with the audience solidified her command of the stage, such as when she asked to turn on the house lights so she could see all of the faces in the crowd. This in turn, made the audience more involved in the performance itself while the viewers at home were only more intrigued by the British hitmaker.

She even wasn’t afraid to get a little dirty when she cursed about the fact that “All I Ask” was a really hard song to sing. Of course, it was censored so we will never know what she truly said, but based on what we did here, it sounded pretty hilarious.

Overall, Adele graced us with glamour and glory when she hit her legendary high notes at Radio City Music Hall for one night only. Adele will return to the city that never sleeps next year for a string of dates at Madison Square Garden. Tickets are in high demand and her appearance last week on NBC gave us all the reason needed to join the hunt for tickets on the secondary market.
