As summer has finally arrived, many students may be interested in what movies they can see as the school year wraps up. Here are some films that you may be interested in during the summer of 2016:

Finding Dory- June 17

This family friendly film follows the adventures of Finding Nemo’s Dory (Ellen DeGeneres). Dory searches for her long lost family in a truly heartwarming animated movie. Finding Dory is directed by Andrew Stanton, and other voices include Albert Brooks (Marlin) and Ed O’Neill (Hank).

Ghostbusters- July 15

If you’re looking for a laugh this summer, Ghostbusters is the way to go. This new rendition of the world renowned comedy finally comes to theatres on July 15. Ghostbusters is starring Chris Hemsworth (Kevin), Kristen Wiig (Erin Gilbert), Melissa McCarthy (Abby Yates), and Kate McKinnon (Jillian Holtzmann).

Star Trek Beyond- July 22

The newest addition to the Star Trek series is directed by Justin Lin, who has had prominent roles in the Fast and Furious series. In this film, the crew explores outer space, where they encounter a terrifying enemy, Krall (Idris Elba).

Suicide Squad- Aug 5

Suicide Squad follows a group of DC supervillains that were hired by the government to complete covert missions. The star studded cast includes Will Smith (Deadshot), Jared Leto (Joker), and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn). For movie fans who enjoy superhero films, consider seeing Suicide Squad this August.

War Dogs- Aug 19

War Dogs is based on a true story, depicting the lives of David Packouz (Miles Teller) and Efraim Diveroli (Jonah Hill). The two men are hired by the United States government to arm American allies in a time of war. War Dogs is filled with drama, action, and comedy, and appears to be one of the most memorable films of the summer.
