Each semester, many HHS seniors gain the unique opportunity and privilege to intern at a variety of local establishments. Specifically, Daniel Kozimbo and Phivos Christodoulides interned at two local law firms under the supervision of Frank Blandino and Kevin Flood, respectively.

“I thought that it would be a great opportunity to explore an area of interest and to gain unique experience in the workplace,” Kozimbo said.

Each intern is given both day to day tasks, along with projects that could span multiple weeks.

“My daily duties include organizing files, reading contracts, but long term projects include researching New Jersey statutes and aiding Mr. Blandino’s client cases in any way,” Kozimbo said.

Under Flood, Christodoulides was able to learn about law, and the specifics of certain cases. For a final project, he made Flood a website for his law firm.

As a whole, the REACH Internship Program is a powerful learning experience for students.

“I learned about my specific interests in the field of law,” Kozimbo said. “I also learned that work can sometimes be a thankless job, but it is of utmost importance for the success of our government.”

While the REACH internships for next school year have already been decided, underclassmen should consider these opportunities worth considering.
