When it comes to food options, Hillsborough does not offer much of a variety. There are more pizza places than any other option in town and the restaurants range from Applebee’s to Roman Gourmet. Fortunately the search for a new trendy place to eat at is now over; replacing Stewart’s on route 206, Hillsborough welcomes Moe’s Southwest Grill With open arms.

Moe’s is a Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurant that offers a casual place to eat, perfect for a families and teens. The Applebee’s-esque environment will be a great alternative to Applebee’s itself and will give Hillsborough a new diverse eatery for people of all ages to enjoy.

In addition to Moe’s, an Indian grocery store run by Patidar is also finding its home in Hillsborough. The store is replacing Stop & Shop and will offer the large population of Indian Asians in the town access to everyday groceries that they would otherwise need to drive more than 30 minutes to obtain.

“It’s about time,” Hillsborough resident Parul Patel explains. “Everytime I need Indian groceries I have to drive at least 40 minutes to get them. And when I want to make something spontaneously, it’s not like I can go to Shop Rite, that’s five minutes away, and find the specific ingredients I need.”

The new grocery store will not only provide convenience to a large portion of the town’s population, but also offer diversity to those wanting to experience a different culture.

Last, but most certainly not least, a drive-thru Starbucks is taking over the former building of Wells Fargo. Starbucks, currently located in Nelson’s Corner off of route 206, has decided to improve their business and popularity by adding a “drive-thru” feature. Moving only a few hundred yards away, Starbucks will now be both for people looking to enjoy their special Starbucks drink at the venue and for on the go Starbucks lovers.

All together, Hillsborough’s diversity is drastically changing and the town continues to advance its most popular venues, such as Starbucks, at the same time. With these new additions to Hillsborough, people are bound to explore new cultures and enjoy themselves more than ever.
