The remake of the 1995 classic starring Robin Williams has been given an update, but brings the same charm and whimsicality.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a hit thanks in large part to a talented group of actors. Dwayne Johnson serves the role of Dr. Bravestone, Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse, Kevin Hart as Moose Finbar, and Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon.

The movie begins with four high school opposites getting “sucked into” the game and they must return a jewel in order to return to the real world.

The acting in the movie was phenomenal. Johnson, Gillan, Black, and Hart all perform admirably. The standout is Black; he is constantly cracking jokes and keeping the crowd entertained. He is given one of the hardest tasks of playing a female trapped in a male body.

The overall effects in the movie are good as well. Turning the video game into a real life world is a hard task: however, it turns out amazing. Joe Johnston, the director of the new movie, turned the game of Jumanji into a real life city.

Jumanji has been doing very well since its release date. Gaining over $500 million dollars over the past couple of weeks. If you want to see a great film, go ahead and watch Jumanji.
