The Hillsborough Department of Special Services is looking for student volunteers, ages 13 and older, for our Extended School Year (ESY) program.  The district’s ESY program is for students in our self-contained classes, preschool through high school, who experience significant regression of skills during prolonged breaks from school.  

The ESY program runs from July 2nd through August 9th/10th, 2018. Available time slots for volunteers include 9:00-11:00, 9:00-12:30, 12:30-2:30.  

Interviews for prospective new volunteers will be held on May 10th beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Hillsborough High School Child Study Team office. To set up an an interview, please call the Department of Special Services at 431-6600, Ext. 2387.  Please print the attached application and bring it to the interview on May 10, 2018.

Applications for returning volunteers are due to Donna Landon, Supervisor of Special Services, at the Board of Education office by May 16, 2018.

There will be an orientation at Hillsborough High School for all volunteers on June 20, 2018 from 9:00-10:00. All volunteer assignments will be given out at that time.
