Finishing last year with a record of 5-14, the Raiders were not expecting the start they have gotten off too. With double the amount of wins they had last year, the Raiders are rolling.

They stand at 9-2 going 8-1 against conference opponents. For the Raiders, senior Kelsey Galevich and sophomore Emily Orr have been providing a large share of the offensive output. Galevich has hit four home runs this season while batting .533. Orr has belted two homers and is batting a clean .500.

“It’s really nice to get off to a great start compared to last year,” Orr said. “The games are more enjoyable and exciting when we are performing well and winning games.”

Sophomore Courtney Wengryn has been steady on the mound leading the Raiders to victory. She has tallied 38 strikeouts and has a record of 8-1.

The Raiders look to continue their dominance, and hope to keep the momentum rolling through county and state tournaments.
