Goodbye EarthFruits Yogurt, hello Shakes ‘n’ Scoops! Despite the name being changed, and a new owner, only a few things have changed for this popular frozen yogurt location in Hillsborough. Along with the various frozen yogurt flavors, and dozens of toppings to choose from, Shakes ‘n’ Scoops has added ice cream to their menu. With fun flavors such as Cappuccino Explosion, and Nutella, this new ice cream shop is sure to be a hit with the locals.

Along with ice cream, Shakes ‘n’ Scoops has “freakshakes” that bring milkshakes to the next level as they add various candy toppings to them. With various shakes to choose from, such as the Cookie Surprise, and Mint Surprise, there is a shake for everyone to enjoy.

Like frozen yogurt, the ice cream is paid for by the weight. What this means is that customers are able to get their desired amount of ice cream, and apply the toppings they would like, and then pay for the ice cream based on what the scale reads. This means that each customer’s ice cream will cost a unique amount, while the “freakshakes” are a set price.

Our experience with Shakes ‘n’ Scoops was great. We both ordered the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, and added many of the toppings on offer, including gummy bears and M&Ms.  The ice cream was very tasty, and it was overall a good price for the amount of ice cream and toppings that we received. Because the ice cream is paid for by the weight, the possibilities are endless for the amount of ice cream you can get, and the toppings you can put on top. Visit Shakes ‘n’ Scoops to taste the amazing new ice cream for yourself!
