Looking through the halls, one can find a variety of styles. Some students rock the latest styles, with bright pops of color, while others prefer to keep it classic in flannels, jeans, and t-shirts. However, no student has a style more distinct than freshman Noah V. Kubacki.

In his first year at HHS, Kubacki has already achieved widespread notoriety for his formal style of dress. He wears a suit to school everyday, complete with slacks, jacket, tie, and accessories.

“Apparently, I have gotten a lot of attention,” Kubacki said. “I didn’t expect it but I do like it.”

Kubacki’s formal style of dress has not been the norm throughout his entire life. Instead, he started dressing formally for school just last year in order to show both his peers and educators his serious approach to education.

“Well, I feel that there needs to be a sense of professionalism in schools,” Kubacki said. “It’s a value that should be carried throughout all of life.”

Over the course of the year, Kubacki has found that his style does change the way in which people perceive him.

“I’ve absolutely been treated differently,” Kubacki said. “People treat you with much more respect when you’re dressed professionally instead of casually.”

While he now is solely responsible for his fashion choices, Kubacki credits his mom with instilling in him the values of how to dress. As a financial analyst, Kubacki’s mother always made sure to educate him on professional etiquette. As a result of her guidance, Kubacki also wishes to enter the finance field.

Unlike others who wish to pursue the same field as their parents, Kubacki already has a concrete plan for his future. He aims to start his own stock brokerage as early as possible, and plans to be a millionaire by the time he is 30.

However, Kubacki is still a teenager, just looking to have fun in his high school years, and his fashion choices often reflect that. With three different suits, a wide range of shirt and tie patterns, and jazzy shoes and accessories, he makes sure to keep it modern with his formal wear.

Despite the misconception that a formal style may be too difficult to maintain, Kubacki insists that adopting a more professional style of dress has been a positive lifestyle change.

“It’s a lifestyle change, and it requires consistency and sacrifice,” Kubacki said. “But it definitely has had way more perks than losses.”
