“I went into county’s with more of a positive attitude than last year,” Ringel said. “I was excited to improve whether it was scoring higher or just doing my routines a little bit better.

Several other members of the squad also placed highly to help the team ascend the podium to victory. Junior Jordyn Bell placed third on both uneven bars and beam, with scores of 9.15 and 9.075, respectively. Fellow junior Haley Mandell also nabbed third place in the vault event, with a score of 9.15.

Several other gymnasts turned in strong individual showings. Senior Carolyn Maslanka captured second all-around with a score of 36.150 to lead Montgomery to a fourth place finish. Meanwhile, Bridgewater sophomore Madelyn Baxter earned third all-around to help her team finish in second.

Following their strong county tournament performance, the Boro gymnastic team maintains its undefeated season. The squad hopes to continue this momentum as they start their run into the upcoming state tournament.
