As the most wonderful time of the year approaches, The Voice is looking back on the most iconic Christmas albums of all time. Long before Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift sang the most popular tunes of the season, Elvis Presley, Jackson 5 and Mariah Carey rung in the holidays with their classic voices and timeless songs.

  1. Best of the Jackson 5: The Christmas Collection — Jackson 5

The Jackson 5’s acclaimed seasonal record may have debuted way back in 1970, however, it still sends people rocking around the Christmas tree decades later! The album also features the iconic track “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” which is sure to get you and your loved ones in the holiday spirit.

  1. Elvis’ Christmas Album — Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley graced fans with his iconic Christmas tunes  back in 1957 when he released his diverse and widely renowned holiday album. The album features Christmas classics like “White Christmas” and “Here Comes Santa Claus (Down Santa Claus Lane).” Each classic song is renewed with his unique vocals.

  1. Christmas — Michael Buble

The king of the holidays, Michael Buble’s 2011 holiday album earned him a Grammy nomination and is still praised as one of the most epic seasonal CDs to date. His voice is smooth and easy on the ears, which allows listeners to truly engulf themselves in the holiday spirit and season.

  1. Under the Mistletoe — Justin Bieber

Although he was still a newcomer to the industry at the time, Justin Bieber released a catchy, light-hearted and energetic Christmas album back in 2011. Bieber was able to put a modern twist on the holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas,” with Mariah Carey herself. The album overall is very upbeat and perfect for any pop music lover who wants to get in the holiday mood.

  1. A Weezer Christmas — Weezer

If there’s one thing the centuries-old tradition of holiday music has always lacked, it’s irony. Weezer brings it by the sleigh-load on this six-song EP. Hilariously, they chose only the most Jesus-y tunes to bash out in their vaunted flat-lined power-pop style. The album is perfect for any pop punk or alternative rock lovers looking to mosh into the groove of the holiday season.

  1. Merry Christmas — Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey’s 1994 Christmas record transcends time. The singer’s original “All I Want for Christmas Is You” reigns supreme as one of the most memorable, festive, and catchy tracks of the season. Additionally, her renditions of classics such as “Joy to the World” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” get people moving and grooving for the holiday season.

  1. ‘Home for Christmas’— ‘NSYNC

This pop boy band masterpiece is the perfect combination of upbeat fun and holiday magic. The band released this holiday album in 1998 and its fun tunes have been sung by  people ever since. The iconic song “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays,” is just one of the best examples of how the boys’ crooning hypes listeners for the holidays.

There you have it, the seven best Christmas albums of all time! Hopefully now you have a clue as to how to lighten up any holiday party with some jolly tunes.
