The Boys Soccer Varsity Season comes to an end with a 3-0 loss against Watchung Hills on October 30. According to senior Angel Zarate, the season had many ups such as a 4-3 victory against Somerville in the second round of the Somerset County Tournament, and downs such as their loss to Montgomery on September 11th on Senior Night.
Throughout the season, the boys worked hard, practicing after school each day to improve their gameplay and performance. Their progress was demonstrated in their 1-0 win against Bridgewater-Raritan on October 19. “Being able to win the game with no goals scored against us was a big improvement for us,” said Eric Puma, the teams head coach.
One thing that stood out about the team was synergy and teamwork, despite the wins or losses they took, the team was able to remain close-knit and supportive. The team work throughout the season was stronger than ever. “We had a great bond and sense of unity,” senior Carter Horesco said. While winning or losing the team consistently supported each other this season.
